Each year the Rotary Club of Nakusp invite the local Nakusp community to nominate members they feel have made a significant contribution to the community in order to receive the Citizen of the Year Award, as a well as nominations for a lifetime achievment and youth achievement awards.

For the past 7 years the Rotary Club of Nakusp have successfully held a Wine & Beer Festival as a major fundraiser for the club. Funds raised have gone to local causes and towards Rotary International mandate to eradicate polio worldwide.
