Days for Girls

Overview:    Days for Girls is an International project that provide girls and women in developing countries with re-usable menstrual kits.  A kit costs CDN $15 and consists of two pairs of underwear, two shields, eight liners, soap and a washcloth, instructions, and a transport bag.  Volunteers do all the sewing.  When the kits are delivered, the girls and women are educated on many topics, including “How to use the kit”, “What is Menstruation?”, all with instruction charts. 

Our club, with support from Rotary friends, purchased 42 kits.  We were scheduled to deliver them to India and Pakistan in March, 2020.  However, the trip was postponed due to the pandemic.
